After Hours Results
1. If a positive COVID-19 case is known after hours, or prior to the start of the school day the school will provide information to the Community Engagement Team via report and may contact exposed staff, students or parents and ask them not to report until the CE Team can investigate the case and follow the confirmed positive case steps.
2. Groups of students and or staff that occupy a classroom together or participate in group activities, If there is a confirmed positive COVID-19 case in that group, identify and list only the "close contacts," which are those who have been within six feet of the case for 15 cumulative minutes or more in a 24 hour period during the case's infectious period. The student's close contact must be sent to the designated quarantine area for a parent to pick up and take home, and employees must be sent home. Quarantine only those who meet the exposure definition of "close contact."
INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE A CLOSE CONTACT WITH A COVID-19 POSITIVE CASE
Any individual, regardless of vaccination status, who has been exposed to a confirmed COVID-19 positive case must stay home and quarantine. If the employee, student, or student's parent notifies the school or worksite that they have been directly exposed to a confirmed positive case of COVID-19 at home, or within their community.
Fully vaccinated employees and students who are quarantined and have a negative test at Day 5 and remain asymptomatic can return Day 8.
Employees and students who are not fully vaccinated have to quarantine for 10 days
Employees and students must be cleared by Community Engagement before returning.
